Rangers Academy graduate Ross McCrorie has returned to the Light Blues on a three-year deal.
The 28-year-old Scottish international, who has spent the last three seasons with Bristol City in the English Championship, is thrilled to return to his boyhood heroes where he’ll work with Derek McInnes once again.
Ross was a key player for Aberdeen when McInnes was the manager there and now they are reunited at Ibrox.
A delighted McCrorie, who developed thanks to RYDC support and made more than 50 appearances for Rangers during his first spell at the club, told Rangers TV: “It’s a dream come true to come back up the road to the team I support.
“The only way I would’ve come back to Scotland was for Rangers
“I still watched the team every week when they were playing and I’m absolutely buzzing to get going.
“I had to leave for my development and go and try and be the main man somewhere.
“I’ve gone and done the hard yards.
“I have unfinished business here and I am really forward to getting started. This club means so much to me and my family.
“I’m not that little kid who was at Rangers back in the day. I have changed a lot character-wise, and player-wise.
“I feel I have changed massively.
“I feel like I am ready now, and I want to come back here and win trophies.
“The gaffer has been a big influence on my career. He helped me unlock the talent I always believed I had.”

Derek McInnes added: “Ross is someone I signed for Aberdeen from Rangers, and at that time he wanted to go out and prove himself, which I think says a lot for him.
“He has developed and improved as a player, he has got that added experience, he is a full international now, and he knows the club inside out.
“In the conversations I have had with him, a lot of things I am saying are things he wants from the club as well, so he’s a determined and competitive boy on the pitch, and he is determined to bring good times back to the club.”
Ross’ career development was assisted by annual RYDC donations to the Rangers Academy and more than £12.5 million has already been provided.
