Findlay Curtis continued his meteoric rise with a debut goal in Scotland’s 4-1 win over Curaçao at Hampden.
The 19-year-old Academy graduate came off the bench to score the equaliser against Dick Advocaat’s side and he also won a penalty in the second half in an impressive display for the national side.
New Light Blues signing Lawrence Shankland scored twice for Steve Clarke’s men with Ryan Christie converting the penalty Findlay won.
Reflecting on a terrific day in dark blue, Curtis said: “I’m delighted, it’s a dream come true.
“I didn’t expect to play as many minutes as I did but I think I did really well and the main thing is the team won.
“The boys have all been brilliant with me and I feel more confident being here.
“It was great to score and it will stand me in good stead.
“The manager told me to be myself and not force anything and I feel like I did that.
“I’m really delighted.

“I can’t wait for the World Cup. I wasn’t involved in the qualifying rounds but hopefully I can make an impact and do what a Scotland team hasn’t done before and get through to the knock-outs.
“It was a massive decision to go down to Kilmarnock on loan, and it’s paid off really well, the experience of playing against older people was important.
“I just love playing football. I can’t believe everything that’s going on at the minute, I just need to soak it all in.”
Fellow Rangers youth graduates Liam Kelly, Nathan Patterson and Billy Gilmour also featured in the game but there was heartache for Napoli star Gilmour who picked up a knee injury and will now miss the World Cup.
