Findlay Curtis struck again for Rangers as Russell Martin’s side beat Alloa 4-2 in the Premier Sports Cup at Ibrox.

Academy graduate Liam Kelly captained the side and Bailey Rice also started the match with Josh Gentles on the bench alongside Curtis.

Nedim Bajrami, Emmanuel Fernandez and James Tavernier were on target before Curtis came on late in the game to secure passage to the quarter-finals of the competition with a fine right-foot shot.

The young forward also scored against Panathinaikos recently and in pre-season matches against Club Brugge and Middlesbrough.

Rice, who had featured at left back, was forced off just before half-time with an injury while Mikey Moore and Thelo Aasgaard made their debuts.

RANGERS: Kelly, Aarons, Djiga, Fernandez, Rice (Tavernier, 44), Rothwell (Barron, 68), Bajrami, Dowell, Cortes (Curtis, 84), Moore (Aasgaard, 68), Danilo (Igamane, 68)

Subs: Butland, Cameron, Antman, Gentles.
