Lifelong Bluenose Kenny Cooper enjoyed a trip to the Rangers training ground recently to collect a Big Blue Jackpot prize of £16,290 from Head Coach Danny Rohl and midfield star Nico Raskin.
He was delighted to win RYDC’s end-of-month Rangers Lotto Jackpot for January and it was a pleasure to welcome him and wife Stacey as our guests for the pre-Celtic media conference.
Fellow fans John Daley, Iain McHolm, Josephine Mackie, Elizabeth Thomson and David Watson have all won big money by playing Rangers Lotto this season and another bumper prize of at least £12,000 is available at the end of March.
Kenny and Stacey have a 3-year-old daughter, who is also Rangers daft, and a dog named after the late, great Davie Cooper so it was a dream come true to meet some of their Light Blue heroes last week.
He said: “We arrived early in the morning and met Colin (Stewart) and his team then sat in on Danny Rohl’s press conference.
“We did some pictures with him and Nico Raskin and it was really nice to meet them both. It was actually great to see how it all works behind-the-scenes.
“Thanks to everyone for looking after us so well. It was a great experience.
“When Debbie from RYDC called to say I’d won a Rangers Lotto prize, I was expecting it to be around £1500 so I was obviously very happy when she told me it was £16,290!
“I’ve been playing Rangers Lotto for about 5 years now and winning this amount caught me by surprise.
“We’ve bought new kitchen appliances and booked a couple of holidays now so thanks to RYDC.
“I’d definitely encourage Rangers fans to play. This came out the blue and has given us a nice wee boost.
“Colin was explaining how much RYDC help the Academy and how the money is raised and it was nice to hear.
“We all want to see young players coming through and I loved watching Barry Ferguson.
“My all-time favourite player would be Brian Laudrup though and I’ve always had a soft spot for Jorg Albertz.
“I’ve been a Rangers fan all my life and I’ve seen so many great players at the club.”

RYDC Director Colin Stewart added: “It was a pleasure to meet Kenny and Stacey and you could see how happy they both were to visit the training ground.
“One of the best parts of my job is giving away big money to Rangers fans and we’ve done that so many times this season.
“All the profits from the Big Blue Jackpot, like everything we do at RYDC, supports the Rangers Academy and we will continue to work as hard as we can to raise funds for youth development at the club.”
Sign up for RYDC’s Rangers Lotto, you could win at least £12,000 at the end of four-week months and a jackpot of at least £15,000 at the end of five-week months.
The more fans who play the bigger the prize will be – capped at £25,000.
