Coben Fergusson is the latest Rangers Academy player to sign his first professional contract with the club.

The 16-year-old winger, who played a prominent role as the Under-17’s side won the CAS League title last season, has penned a deal until the summer of 2029.

He also appeared for the Under-19s in various competitions, scoring his first goal for the side in the 5-1 victory away to Dundee United in the penultimate game of the season.

Fergusson has represented Scotland at youth level and was recently capped by the Under-16s where he netted in a victory over Cyprus.

Interim Head of Academy, David McCallum, commented: “We are thrilled to see Coben commit his future to the club by signing his first professional contract.

“He has a fantastic attitude towards his development, is eager to learn and consistently demonstrates the desire to push himself every day.

“I’m sure this is a proud day for Coben and his family, and we’re looking forward to supporting him as he continues to develop both as a player and as a person.”

Coben’s career development is assisted by annual RYDC donations to the Rangers Academy and more than £12.5 million has already been provided.
