Congratulations to the Rangers Under-19s squad who beat St Mirren 2-1 in Paisley to clinch the CAS Elite League title.
The 17s won their CAS League championship recently and it was a double for the Light Blues as a sensational 90th minute free-kick from Zebedee Lawson sealed a terrific victory.
Lawson had earlier equalised for Malky Thomson’s side before half-time with another brilliant finish after the home side had gone ahead through Joshua Farquhar.
It was a bruising contest and St Mirren were reduced to 10 men in the closing stages after Innes Clark received a second yellow for bringing down Lawson as he raced towards their penalty box.
Earlier, Conor Owen thought he had won it for Rangers but his header was cleared off the line. However, with just seconds left Lawson dusted himself down and stepped up to score from the edge of the box with a sublime left foot strike.
9-in-a-Row legend John Brown was at the game and presented Rangers with the trophy and their medals after the game.
Wild celebrations followed and Rangers have now secured qualification to the prestigious UEFA Youth League next season. Congratulations to all the players and staff who played their part throughout the campaign.
