Rangers Academy graduate Findlay Curtis was delighted to start last night’s 1-0 win over Hibs at Ibrox and is eager for more game time under Danny Rohl.
The 19-year-old featured early on in the 2025/26 campaign and scored important goals against Panathinaikos, Alloa and St Mirren but he has had to be patient in recent months and continue to work hard in training.
He has come off the bench in games against Ferencvaros, Kilmarnock, Falkirk and Roma since Rohl joined the Light Blues but was given the nod against the Edinburgh side.
A header from Emmanuel Fernandez earned Rangers a hard-fought victory and Findlay was thrilled to play his part.
He said: “I think my hard work in training is paying off. I’m just happy to have made that start and it was a massive three points.
“I was buzzing about that.
“It’s about working hard and obviously in training you need to be the best player and just impress the manager so I’m happy I got a start.
“I scored a couple of goals in July to August, so I think it’s just about working hard in training now.
“I’ll just knuckle down and work away.

“A lot of competition came into the club in the summer and it’s good to have that but I need to focus on what I can do.
“It’s just about working away and also being patient and once you get that chance you need to take it.
“He (Rohl) just said to me to be patient and just keep on knuckling down in training and then your rewards will come if you keep on working hard.
“He’s been very good to me. He’s been very honest.
“He’s told me bits where I’ve been very good and told me bits where I need to work on, so I’ll work on them and try and be myself.
“There are a lot of young boys in the squad but you can have no fear at a club like Rangers. You need to grasp your chance.
“Now we have Hearts on Sunday and we look forward to that.”
